The space has an odd atmosphere of abandonment and even if you have the feeling nearly nothing remained from the primery power, it's a spellbinding place wich didn't lose its clear aesthetic and impressing beauty

...went the twelve girls last saturday & sunday in our performance-project "Tanz am Kamp" : fascinating and catching the audience... and they really deserved the intensive applause, because they danced the piece honest, with passion and very very good, it was wonderful

...and like a mirror is this impressing duet : the disaster of a deep, essential misunderstanding in a - eventually - hopeless relation chip shown in a very clear artistical form, it touches me even more because i know too good what it means...
but as sad as it is, it is a great piece created by two of the most interesting choreographers nowadays :

... SUN !!

...wer weiß denn schon, was das bedeutet...
ehrlich gesagt wäre ich gerade lieber in Indien oder wo ganz anders : da wo es warm ist !

alles was existiert beinhaltet auch immer das Gegenteil : es gibt keinen Ton ohne Stille, keine Bewegung ohne Stillstand, kein Loslassen ohne Halten, keine Freude ohne Schmerz, keine Wärme ohne Kälte... und dazwischen liegen unendlich viele Fassetten
es ist vielleicht ganz gut, sich das immer mal wieder bewusst zu machen,
um das, was man scheinbar gerade nicht hat, trotzdem zu sehen

it was a big surprise to see so many swans ( they must have been at least a hundred ) on a large lake where i stoped for a short break on my way into the "green heart of germany", to this very little town (far away from everything) to be there for two long weeks: forrest, river, clean air, the sky at night full of stars and  no computer, a good place - actually - for holidays, to relax...

fortunately there are always many ideas and possibilities to fill the time with more or less necessary actions:
here is an exemple for karma yoga ( that's the 'garden defender' version of virabhadrasana ;) naja, apple trees also have a right to get some sun

 one week for me and no projects, except one: to see something I haven't seen bevore...hhhm... : Scandinavia ! have never been there, now I'll take the chance to discover it's beauty, maybe...don't know where exactly I'll go, it's all open...I just want to stay where I like it and leave if I want to see something else, that's it  :-)

I don't know why it's called like that or which Basilius or Vassili it was who gave it this pretty name
...I just know, when ever I see cornflowers I realize that I like them very much : mainly because of their unmistakable color and also maybe because they remind me so much to my childhood and summer ...summer in the Ural : dry and very warming :-)
here in this part of Europe summer is different : not that warm, not that steady
...but I do not want to say something or complain...this year the smell of summer is in the air !

it's about...

...two years ago as we performed RED in 'Waterfalls' - that special show in the swimming-bath where the premiere couldn't happen, because of a heavy thunderstorm, that we were showing four days later to a very friendly, quite big audience... and only now, maybe three weeks ago, I finally got the footage of this piece that means so much to me... but it makes no difference - long ago or not : it feels like it's been yesterday
...and now since all dances, skirts and what ever else had to be done in the last time are prepared and 'on their way', I'll take some time to make a video : as beautiful as the performance was ...? ...no, that won't work, of course ...  let's say then : I'll try to work out a good video from those partly very beautiful takes :-)

einfach nur gut !

...eine Idee, ein kurzer inhaltlicher Austausch - ohne viele Worte, die gleiche gedankliche Ebene und man ist direkt an dem Punkt, wo so viel Raum und Freiheit ist, dass ganz viel Neues entsteht...

eigentlich kann ich mir nichts Schöneres vorstellen - in jeder Hinsicht ! umso mehr weiß ich es zu schätzen

( including one of my favourite classical pieces : Sibelius' Valse triste )   looking forward to it

Licht und Schatten

...very different from 'Mira' (where I was realy telling a story), these videos are quite abstract :
following the feeling that's engendered by the music and the light-shadow-idea I try to find uncommon, impressive pictures and view points to connect them with the music; the idea is to make several versions ( step by step I work on them now ), to select the best and send it to a competition...have never done something like that, so why not
...but actually thats not important at all, it gives me just a bit of a push to do it now... important is the whole process : to learn how this program works, where I have to think three-demensional in a way and to play with varied possibilities...exciting :-)

...the story starts somewhere else :

first my sweet little camera got blind or short-sighted like this :
( o.k. that can be an option too, but ...)
so I bought a new camera, even smaller and better and I was very pleased with the takes,
not so much my cutting-program that stopped all its activities without telling me why...it took me a while to find out the reason for this strange 'attitude', but meanwhile I understood some about video-files, codecs and these things (and it is also very good for me to read many texts in English, because I really want to learn it
and if they are such interesting descriptions, all the more...)
at the end it was clear, that I had to buy a new program too and ...it's realy good : fast and good-structured, with many possibilities, interesting to discover and fun to learn how to use them.



and actually, all of that only happened, because I have a new small project :   two short videos

next to Duisburg is a site, it must have been a steel-works ore something like that, there we'll meet with Paolo for the takes, I think it'll be interesting ( many steel constructions) ... hopefully inspiring
and I'm looking forward to it
